Pronunciation is one of the most important parts of English to communicate to the others since there are differences between symbols and sounds. In Junior high school English subject aims to develop the studentsâ communication competence. Without proper pronunciation in oral they have difficulties to raise the competence. Those made the writer do the research to find if there any significant influence of English song towards studentsâ pronunciation ability at the eighth grade students of SMP N 13 Bandar Lampung.The research methodology used was experimental research held in 3 times of meeting, 60 minutes of each meeting. This design used pretest and post test to find out studentsâ pronunciation ability before the treatment and after the treatment. The population of this research was the Eighth grade students of SMP N 13 Bandar Lampung. The writer took two classes from eight classes. In collecting the data, the writer used instrument in form of words list and text lyrics. After being tried out, the instrument used was for the pre-test and post test, the writer used t-test formula to get hypothesis.After doing the hypothetical test, the T-test showed the result 10.94, the critical value for two tailed test for 59 degree of freedom (df) 0.05 level significance is 2.00it can be concluded that: there is significant influence of using English song towards studentsâ pronunciation ability at the eighth grade of SMP N 13 Bandar Lampung. In other words it is effective to using English song in teaching pronunciation in order to increase studentsâ pronunciation ability
